About Me
Welcome to PSY 305! Before starting a class together, I think it’s important for you to know more about who I am and why I teach.
I am a 5th year PhD student in the Basic and Applied Social Psychology program at the CUNY Graduate Center. My research focuses on the psychology behind whether people support or oppose labor organizing, and how people explain systemic injustice (you can find out more info here).
I think one of the most fun parts about doing research is sharing it with the next generation of scholars (like you) and teaching you how to apply social psychology to real world problems. That’s why I teach…and that’s ultimately what I hope you’ll learn in this class.
If at any point you want to talk about the course or just want to reach out (about life, school, or anything else), please send me an email at: [email protected]. I look forward to meeting you all!
About You – Week 1 Survey
Now, I want to know about you! Specifically, I want to learn more about your previous experience with statistics and research. Please complete this survey as soon as possible (it will only take ~ 5 mins). If you complete the Week 1 Survey by Aug 29 at 6 PM (our first class), you will get extra credit on your first exam.
Course Logistics
This course is a 4-credit course, which means we have both a lecture component and a lab component. We will be meeting in-person on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:00 PM – 8:40 PM. For your sanity (and mine), all course materials and assignments will be posted in our Lecture Section. All emails will be sent via Blackboard, so make sure you have access to it
